Gender-based violence is a profound and persistent problem across many societies, and its impact extends deeply into political life. Female representatives are frequently subjected to systematic aggression simply because of their gender.
At AI-Sunrise, we collaborated with the National Congress to build an intelligent monitoring dashboard designed to make this invisible violence visible.
A 24×7 Monitoring System
The platform continuously scrapes public content from social networks, operating around the clock to capture comments and interactions directed at congresswomen.
This real-time data stream allows the system to:
- Track abusive language as it emerges
- Measure its frequency and intensity
- Detect evolving patterns of aggression
Understanding Language, Not Just Keywords
Rather than relying on simple keyword matching, the system applies Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to vectorize textual content and understand expressions in context.
By modeling language semantically, the dashboard can:
- Classify different forms of gender-based violence
- Distinguish harassment from neutral or supportive discourse
- Adapt to new expressions and linguistic patterns over time
Awareness begins when data gives form to what is often normalized or ignored.
